Going
My Way
I
love to experience all that Oregon has
to offer and I know that innkeepers are
the best resource for learning about the
local attractions, restaurants, wineries,
art galleries and shops. Following are
some of my favorites tours.
The Oregon Coast
With
the landscape of beaches, cliffs and rock
formations sculpted by wind and wave, the
Oregon Coast has some of the most spectacular
scenery in the country. No matter what
your interests are, the Oregon Coast is
sure to please.
Portland Metro
Area
The
most liveable big city in the United States!
Every cultural opportunity is available
to the visitor. The City is also famous
for its many microbreweries and wineries
in the Washington and Yamhill counties
that rank among the worlds finest.
Mt. Hood and The
Columbia River Gorge
From
ancient forests and snow-capped mountains
to serene meadows and lakes to broad rivers
and abundant valleys, the Mt. Hood National
Forest will captivate you with its breathtaking
beauty. The Columbia River Gorge region
combines one of the world's greatest rivers
with some of the most spectacular mountain
scenery to be found in the United States.
The Willamette
Valley
The
Willamette Valley is one of the most diverse
agricultural regions in the world. Here
you'll find an endless series of roadside
stands that give visitors and locals the
chance to sample this diversity of tastes.
The Valley is famous for its wines, which
authorities rank among the finest in the
world. The famous Oregon garden is one
of the states most popular attractions.
Sports and the arts abound. A small city
with a big heart.
Southern Oregon
Southern
Oregon offers year-round cultural and recreational
activities of every type - from the world
renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival in
Ashland, to world famous Crater Lake; the
Britt Music Festival in Jacksonville to
the Oregon Caves National Monument. The
rich farmlands of the Rogue Valley are
home to more than a dozen wineries and
the world-famous Harry and David pear
orchards.Outdoor adventures range from
thrilling river raft trips to skiing and
everything in between.
Northeastern Oregon
Northeastern
Oregon is home to the deepest gorge in
North America--Hell's Canyon--and the richest
find of prehistoric fossils in the world--John
Day Fossil Beds. You can drive along
the Hell's Canyon Scenic Byway and All-American
Road. At the end of the line you'll
find Joseph, a charming historic town that
is now famous as a growing artists' colony
that's nestled into the Wallowa Mountains,
an area of natural beauty and protected
wilderness.
